The Spanish Network for Rural Development (REDR) presents an online course with which it seeks to reach the entire population of rural territories, from public administrations to companies or organizations to civil society. The following questions will be answered throughout the course: How are the SDGs implemented? How are they measured? and finally how are they evaluated?

With the title, “A New Rural Scenario: SDP, Agenda 2030 and LEADER“, REDR seeks to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs in rural areas by training change agents working towards compliance at all levels. It is a 5-week course that will consist of a more theoretical first part, where the fundamentals and origin of the SDS and leader methodology will be analyzed, to move to a more practical part, where we will study what each entity can do and how it can measure those efforts. To do this, the course offers a wide variety of written and video resources, both theoretical content and practical experiences that help visualize the path to sustainability.

The course has been validated by the United Nations, so after successfully passing the course, students will have access to a certificate issued by REDR together with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research which will be completely free of charge. In addition, the MOOC has a version translated into English, for all those who, within Europe or outside Europe, decide to form as agents of sustainable development.
