The “Casa di Campagna” is located in Magione (Umbria Region), a few minutes from Lake Trasimeno (east shore, just 15 minutes from Perugia) and its villages (Passignano sul Trasimeno, Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Castiglione del Lago on the lake side and Paciano, Panicale, Piegaro and Città della Pieve on the hilly inner slope) and the main Umbrian cities of art such as Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Spoleto can be reached in a rather short time via convenient connecting roads.

The “Casa di Campagna” is a unique farmhouse, designed to welcome travelers who wish to stay in an environment surrounded by greenery, genuine and relaxing and enjoy the typical local peasant cuisine taking advantage of the restaurant inside the structure.

A large garden with swimming pool at guests’ disposal surrounds the house; Horses and farm animals are the backdrop to the view that can be enjoyed from the upper loggia.
This farm, including an educational farm, is a typical example of a “farm to fork” strategy. Every food that is offered to visitors originates from the farm land or the surrounding area: cereals, vegetables, wine, olive oil, fruit, meat, pasta, bread and cheese.

For several years the owner of the farm, active stakeholder of LIVERUR, adopts the principles of quality and typicality for the food offered in the internal catering service.
Moreover, being closely linked to other farms and local markets, through short economic chains, it guarantees a direct and easily traceable catering service for anyone looking for healthy, local and quality food.

Currently the farm has an area of about 30 hectares planted with wheat, barley, alfalfa, vegetables, olive trees and woods. It organizes summer stays for students and families, aimed at knowing the agricultural practices, breeding and preparation of typical foods of the area. Finally, it lends itself perfectly to the practice of SLOW TOURISM.

Thanks to the LIVERUR Project, it adheres to the “Trasimeno Living Lab” Intranet Platform.
